Oddział regionalny Stowarzyszenia Szefów Kuchni i Cukierni Republiki Czeskiej na teren Pragi i centralnych Czech wraz z Urzędem Miasta Kladno, pod auspicjami inż. Dana Jiráneka, burmistrza okręgu Kladno, wspólnie organizują doroczne święto patrona wszystkich szefów kuchni i cukierników – Świętego Wawrzyńca.

Zgodnie z tradycją wydarzenie odbędzie się na terenie posiadłości zamku Kladno, Klubu Stodoła i ich okolic. Uczestnicy parady, którzy będą nieść posąg Świętego Wawrzyńca spotkają się o godz. 10 przed Kościołem Wniebowzięcia Najświętszej Marii Panny na placu Starosty Pavla, gdzie nastąpi jego poświęcenie o godz. 10:30. Procesja przejdzie następnie z kościoła na scenę główną na ulicy Zádušní.

Tegoroczna ósma edycja po raz kolejny zaoferuje wszystkim gościom bogaty program.

Program obchodów Dnia Św. Wawrzyńca: 

– Konkurs profesjonalnych ekip kucharskich – Gastro Vavřinec – nie ma ograniczeń co do kreatywności i pomysłów rywalizujących drużyn, za wyjątkiem ceny dania końcowego, która nie może przekroczyć 80 CZK. Oczywiście każdy uczestnik imprezy będzie mógł nabyć porcję wyjątkowych potraw konkursowych!

– Głównym składnikiem edycji 2010 jest amerykańska wołowina, pochodząca ze stad Ameryki Północnej sprowadzanej przez Nowaco CR

– Stanowiska konkursowe zostaną przygotowane przez firmy InterGast oraz Jiva Jirak

– Muzeum Gastronomii po raz kolejny zaprezentuje swoje interesujące ekspozycje

– bicie rekordu – największego na świecie mega mięsnego szaszłyka – w wykonaniu AKC CR wraz z gminą Kladno oraz restauracją i pensjonatem U Pštrosa

– Jego Ekscelencja Victor Julian Hernandez z Ambasady Republiki Wenezueli został poproszony o objęcie patronatu nad próbą pobicia tego rekordu

On 7th August 2010, the black Kladno will be dressed in white again…

The Prague and Central Bohemia regional section of the Association of Chefs and Confectioners of the Czech Republic, jointly with the Kladno Municipal Office, under the auspices of Ing. Dan Jiránek, Mayor of the county borough of Kladno, are jointly organising the annual celebrations of the patron saint of all chefs and confectioners – St. Lawrence.

As has become an established tradition, the event venue will be the mansion premises of the Kladno chateau, the Klub Stodola (The Barn Club) and their surroundings. The participants of the gala parade, who will be carrying a statue of St. Lawrence, will meet at 10:00 a.m. outside the Nanebevzetí Panny Marie church (The Church of the Assumption of Our Lady) in the Starosty Pavla square (Mayor Pavel square), where the statue will be blessed at 10:30. The whole procession will then proceed from the church to the main stage in Zádušní Street (Commendation Street).

The 8th edition of the annual event will once again offer a rich programme to all its visitors.



The St. Lawrence feast:

•    Competition of professional culinary teams – Gastro Vavřinec – there are no limits to where the imagination of the competing teams can reach, with the only exception being the price of the resulting dish, which may not exceed CZK 80. Naturally, each visitor is invited to buy a serving of the exceptional competition food!

•    The main ingredient for the year 2010 is US BEEF – top blade, peeled shoulder, originating from the top-quality North American cattle supplied by Nowaco CR.

•    The competition studios will be arranged for by InterGast and Jiva Jirák.

•    The Museum of Gastronomy will once again present some of its interesting exhibits.

•    Dr. Šmíd’s gala table, this year on the topic: “Meeting of beekeepers in Kladno”.

•    Crêpes baking.

•    Poštovní Spořitelna Goulash (Postal Savings Bank) for the owners of Maxkarta cards.

•    Cocktail Mixing School for children.

•    A number of additional competitions for the general public!

•    Fanny Carving Cup – St. Lawrence Melon Carving – food carving for everybody, irrespective of age – organised in several categories under the guidance of David Beran.

•    Auction of melons carved by celebrities!

•    Dumpling eating contest organised by the “U Zlatého selátka” restaurant (The Golden Piglet) and the brewery ROHOZEC.

•    Marzipan modelling.

•    Melon speed-eating contest.

•    Children can also take part in various competitions, such as e.g. Catch your fish (Chyť si svoji rybičku), Water melon concentration (Melounové pexeso) and others…

•    Vilém Čok’s non-traditional contests.

•    Health days with the VZP in Central Bohemia region.

•    Breaking one’s own record – The world’s biggest mega meat skewer – implemented by the AKC CR together with the Kladno borough in conjunction with the Penzion a restaurace U Pštrosa (The Ostrich boarding-house and restaurant) owned by Václav and Martinka Pštros – a part of the proceeds will be donated to Zahrada charity (The Garden), a social services provider.

•    His Excellency Victor Julian Hernandez of the Embassy of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela has been asked to provide patronage/auspices over the record attempt.
