Taste of Melbournezyskało miano wydarzenia, którego nie można przeoczyć. Uczestnicy festiwalu będą mieli możliwość spróbować popisowych dań przygotowanych przez szefów kuchni najlepszych restauracji Melbourne. Gourmet Traveller Wine Theatre (Teatr Wina Magazynu Gourmet Traveller) prowadzony przez redaktor Judy Sarris i eksperta win Nicka Stocka będzie doskonałą okazją do spróbowania i zdobycia cennej wiedzy na temat rzadkich i butikowych win, która przyda się zarówno początkującym miłośnikom wina jak i wytrawnym koneserom.

Walutą jaką będzie się można posługiwać na Festiwalu będzie CROWN (korona), 1 CROWN to równowartość 1 dolara. KORONY będzie można zakupić w dniu imprezy lub w przedsprzedaży dzięki czemu nie będzie trzeba zabierać ze sobą gotówki. Koronami będzie można płacić za smakołyki serwowane przez restauracje lub sprzedawane przez wystawców. Ceny potraw będą się wahać w granicach 8-12 koron.

Podczas zimowego sierpnia w Melbourne, budynek Royal Exhibition przemienia się w kulinarny azyl oferujący liczne przytulne sekcje, zapraszające do konsumpcji i biesiadowania przy dźwiękach muzyki i w doborowym towarzystwie wszystkich miłośników dobrej kuchni.

A FEAST OF DELICIOUS FOOD, FINE WINE AND GASTRONOMIC GOODIES AT THE 2010 TASTE OF MELBOURNE

The Royal Exhibition Buildings will again play host to Melbourne’s Premier Food and Wine event, Taste of Melbourne, held from Thursday 26 – Sunday 29 August 2010

Taste Festivals, who operate both Taste of Melbourne and Taste of Sydney, are proud to announce that HSBC will be the presenting rights sponsor of the Taste food and wine festivals in Melbourne and Sydney.

Now established as a ‘must attend event’ by food and wine lovers from Australia and beyond, Taste of Melbourne allows attendees to sample signature dishes prepared by chefs from the Melbourne’s best and hatted restaurants. Participating restaurants to date include – Stokehouse+ Bar, Longrain + Bar, Sarti, Maze, Fifteen and Mezzo.

In addition, Victoria’s leading produce suppliers and purveyors of gastronomic goodies will exhibit their delicious wares for tasting and buying. The Australian Gourmet Traveller Taste Kitchen and Editor, Anthea Loucas will host Melbourne’s leading chefs as they demonstrate how to be a master chef.

The Gourmet Traveller Wine Theatre presented by editor, Judy Sarris and wine expert Nick Stockleading a team of experts will provide a unique opportunity to taste and learn about rare and boutique wines, valuable to both the wine beginner and the connoisseur.

The second most important currency to the dollar – the CROWN will again make attending Taste of Melbourne simple 1 Crown = $1. Crowns can be purchased in advance or on the day eliminating the need for carrying cash. Crowns can be used to buy restaurant tastes or exhibitors goodies. The cost of dishes varies from 8 to 12 Crowns. The process is as simple as passing over the required number of Crowns for the selected dish.

During Melbourne’s wintery August, the Royal Exhibition Building is transformed into a culinary haven with an abundance of warm, inviting dining areas enabling guests to listen to music, chat with friends while savouring the tastes of the city’s vast dining scene.
